I help run an acoustic music night at a local pub in every Wednesday night and I notice that attendences go up or down depending on a whole range of things. Who is playing, the weather and so on.
Lately though, I have been thinking about how people can evolve from someone who has no idea about a band to being a rabid ‘fan’ or ‘groupie’ of that same band. I would say that there is some sort of conversion process that takes place.

Thanks to the innovative work of quantum physics, it has now been established that we are responsible for the reality we experience on a daily basis. In brief, quantum physics states that everything that was, is or will be exists as a possibility and does not become “real” until it is observed. That is, every imaginable outcome, event, condition, desire, fear, disaster or joy already exists as a possible reality for each and every one of us. Which possibility becomes our reality depends on which one/s we think (thought acts as the observing mechanism) about and believe to be true. This is very empowering, and for some, very frightening. However, this is not an article on quantum physics, but if you would like to know more, there are many resources at our library.

From TV screens in the back of headrests in automobiles to portable DVD players, a sudden wave of portable “home theaters” have became very popular. Now with the PSP it has put a whole new spin on portable “home theaters.” You can now purchase UMD’s as opposed to DVD’s to be used in the Playstation Portable, making it a mobile “home theater”. Better than purchasing UMD’s would be simply to just put movies on PSP. You can do this by downloading a movie onto your computer, then saving the file to you PSP’s memory stick.

There are so many ways that we, as songwriters can escape our zones of comfort and enrich our lives, and just think, the worse that could happen is that you could write a great song about it.
Imagine having the confidence to experience life to the fullest with the knowledge that there could be a song awaiting as a result of the risk being taken.
That’s a powerful way of looking at life.
A prime example of a situation that can benefit from this way of thinking is the topic of intimate relationships. So many people don’t take the risk of falling in love for the fear of getting hurt.

Close your eyes and think back to the 60’s and 70’s. Remember the high-spirited drivers that bought and drove the muscle cars? This may help - -
Donut: Definition - Circular design produced on a road surface by a vehicle’s tires when they are rotating with a greater angular velocity than the road under them.
As the name implies, the basic shape is round but many options exist. In fact, even the straight burn out has been called a donut. Spirals, check-marks, hooks, sweeps, etc. have been chosen to make a statement and named “donut” over the years. Whichever is planted on the road, the car tires must revolve faster than the road surface and leave a lasting mark.

I am a kind, giving person. The spirit of charity oozes through my very pores. If my charitable spirit were any oozier, I’d need a mop.
I hope you believe me, because I’m an honest person, too. Honesty runs through my veins, splints to my vital organs, and then jogs back to my heart. My kind of honesty is plaque deserving.
I’m telling you these things because I have an incredible tale to tell. I have suffered terrible injuries….the second hair on my left eyelash is still in a cast…..all, because I went on a charitable mission of mercy.

Over the past few decades, a number of amazing war movies have hit the theaters. Although there are many war movies that have done an excellent job of portraying the conflict and the reality of the situation at hand, there are five that rank at the top of the list.
Platoon
Released in 1986 and directed by Oliver Stone, Platoon is still considered by many to be the best war movie ever made. Starring Charlie Sheen and the then-little-known actor Johnny Depp, Platoon reached a depth of realism that many could not fully understand unless they had actually been in the military or experienced the Vietnam War the movie depicted.
