In light of recent and previous cave-ins by the wussiecrat majority in congress, we should all, by now, be disabused of any notions of political hope. But I have a dream. Actually it happens sometimes in those Intermediate Bardos between sleep and what is called the wakeful state, or better regarded as the sanctioned hallucination, where a cosmic crack occurs in the collapse of a probability wave and you think you might be waking up to a sane world.

-I don’t particularly enjoy going to the doctor, and I’m terrified by the sight of my own blood, but I’ve always been fascinated by the lives of my friends who practice medicine. (Side note: weird how it’s called “practicing” medicine – as if it’s akin to working on your jump shot.) My doctor friends seem to genuinely enjoy when I pepper them with annoying medical questions – and they usually know all the answers. Ever ask one of your lawyer friends a legal question? They not-so-subtly sigh, roll their eyes, then plead ignorance because it’s outside the scope of their firm’s practice (again with the practicing).

It’s true! Many people today are just a pay check away from being homeless. That is why you should be kind to others because you might be up today and down tomorrow. To express your concerns for the homeless, you may write a poem to yourself or send it to the newspaper.

One thing for sure, the poor will always be here, and it looks like the population of poor people is growing larger every day. Many people fall on hard times as they face unexpected job closings and layoffs. Many seem hopeless as the number of unemployed people increases. For these and other reasons, you may want to write yourself a poem similar to “I Cry for the Homeless.”

Whilst Rene Jules Lalique’s childhood years seem to be shrouded in somewhat of a mystery, it is known that he was born to Jules and Olype Berthellemy Lalique on the 6th April 1860. For the first two years of his life the family lived in Ay, in the Champagne region of France, about a hundred miles to the northeast of Paris.

The underlying principles all Renaissance art was its artistic honesty to nature, as opposed to tradition, which had been the style of pre Renaissance art.

This principle was deduced from the study of the new found learning, being spread throughout Italy by Greek refugees, and the consequent awakened interest with which people regarded the remains of ancient architecture, sculpture and other art forms, constantly being unearthed in their own country.

With the adoption of the classical principle of truth to nature, naturally came the adoption of a second, that of the study of the antique as the true path to excellence in art or letters. We cannot fail to recognise these twin principles at work in the writings of the masters of the musical Renaissance.

China Rising is the name of a documentary released within the last couple of years, indicating that China, in both trade and voice, is becoming a super power on the world stage, a power that will have the attention of the entire world thrust upon them as they host the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

China, while an economic power, is also a linguistic power with millions of people around the world learning how to speak Mandarin and Cantonese in order to keep up with the fast paced growth being experienced overseas and in International trade.

You know, there is something that is definitely more artistic about black and white photography. I know I am getting a little away from the overall concept of digital photography. But as a photographer, you will no doubt run into the phenomenon that is black and white photography.

I can remember vividly a photography named Michael Zagaris who is the team photographer of the San Francisco 49ers. He said that he was just captivated by the use of black and white photography. The way the light and the shading are so much more evident. This helps contribute to the overall feeling and emotion of the moment that the black and white photo captures.
