The bells chime, night calls forth restless shadows;
Soft winds drift soulless through the empty night,
Across misty fields, shimmering with light
Darkness brings forth your long forgotten foes.
Sorrowful agonies of the once damned,
Souls Screaming, yearning with silent whisper,
Invoking their soulless cry in despair.
Deathless bodies rise, now walking the land.
Whispering withered moments of torment,
Caressing the warm bodies in desire,
Screaming for the soft living flesh in ire,
Moaning their profound eternal lament.
A life once forgotten now forbidden
Stretching forth its arms, reaching for daylight;
A world no more within its distant sight.
Return shades, to the still depths of the fen.
Your ancient desires no longer have breath.
Eyes dim to nothingness, once bright with life.
Darkness obscures the desolate stones line,
Curling far away from the tainted earth.
Close your eyes and absorb the ancient energy. Hear the echoes of the waters of time flowing past. Feel the weight of the granite stones beneath the touch of your hand. Taste the salty breeze and smell the wild horses. Listen to the sounds of the past as they whisper across ancient ruins. Feel the power of the ancient peoples echo in the distant landscape.
This is Cornwall, a land borne of fantasy and legend, a unique wild landscape where spirits of the dead abound. A land that stands fast, scorning the modern destruction of its heritage.
