Music is the art of arranging sounds in time, so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative (expressive) composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre (tonal quality of any sound). With this perception, one must understand that this definition stands to be the point of view of one individual, or a small group of people. You’re probably saying, “Well, I just learned something. I did not know that you could put what I felt into words that intelligently. Wow!” Another may say, “I already knew that, but what does that really have to do with what I feel inside.” Yes, I would agree with that. The definition may be good enough to teach to class of youngsters in middle school, but music actually has an unlimited source of meanings. I say this because yes, we rap, sing, and play instruments, projecting a particular sound that brings some relief inside. But yet, even after we have performed, via shower or on stage, there is still a hunger inside that we are compelled to satisfy. So, what is this thing we call music really all about?

A bagpipe chanter is the part of the bagpipe that produces the melody. It is usually a narrow, conical tube that has a series of small holes. These holes are alternately covered and uncovered to control the pitch produced by the chanter. At the top of the bagpipe chanter is the reed.
Bagpipe chanters usually consist of two main divisions: the parallel and non-parallel bored. The former allows the bagpipe to produce a sweet tone while the latter allows for the control of volume in bagpipes.

Indeed, many of the extra accessories are simply too expensive for the average starving musician, such as microphones, tracking material, speakers, sound-proofing. Fortunately, with today’s computer technology, much of the extra heavyweight equipment has become for the most part outdated. Orpheus was one of the sons by the Muse Calliope. Some suppose him to be the son of Apollo, to render his birth more illustrious. He received a lyre from Apollo, or, according to some, from Mercury, upon which he played with such a masterly hand, that even the most rapid rivers ceased to flow, the savage beasts of the forests forgot their wildness, and the mountains moved to listen to his song. All nature seemed charmed and animated, and the nymphs were his constant companions. Eurydice was the only one who made a deep impression on the melodious musician, and their nuptials were celebrated.

Filipino sculptures have undergone an evolution in shape, form, content and mediums. Like other cultures the first sculptures created by Philippine native cultures were primitive. These primitive sculptures utilized native materials like stone and clay. The sculptures created depicted normal life and acts of worship. Colors were limited in these primitive sculptures.
The transitional sculpture movements in the Philippines between the primitives and the modern movements were influenced by outside cultures and internal evolutions. In the middle of the transition between the primitive and the most modern sculptures was the 19th century art movement. The hero of this sculpture movement was Guillermo Tolentino. His most popular and well known piece was the Bonifacio Monument. This monument was a tribute piece to the Filipino revolution that was fought against the Spanish in 1896. Tolentino completed this multi-figure sculpture in 1933 and it became the cornerstone of his career.
