Eastern Division:
1) New England: We correctly picked the Pats to capture the crown in the oh so weak AFC Eastern division last year, heck, they even one upped our projected regular season finish last year by posting a 12-4 mark and with a few breaks ended up making it to the AFC Championship game only to be ousted by eventual SB winner Peyton Manning and company.
The Patriots needed to upgrade their WR corps and they did just that by adding Randy Moss, Donte’ Stallworth, and Wes Welker to their roster via free agency which should bolster what was a really weak area last year, however, with Corey Dillon gone New England needs to find a backup RB for Laurence Maroney who enters this season fresh off shoulder surgery.

Western Division:
1) San Diego: Quickly now, how many NFL head coaches can you name who were replaced following a 14-2 regular season? That is exactly what happened to Marty Schottenheimer following last years early exit from the playoffs, its actually head shaking stuff with regard to the Bolts letting ole Marty go when considering that San Diego had suffered thru seven straight non winning seasons prior to Marty’s arrival including their 1-15 2000 season under former HC Mike Riley.

AFC North Division:
1) Baltimore: The Ravens won’t find the sledding so easy this year after posting a regular season mark of 13-3 last year, pushing them will be the Pittsburgh Steelers who are only 2 years removed from winning a Super Bowl and whose QB is now back at full strength following last years near fatal off season motorcycle accident and emergency appendicitis surgery. The same holds true for the Cincinnati Bengals whose QB is also now back at full strength after using last season as a spring board of sorts to regain his confidence following a devastating knee injury.

AFC South Division:
1) Indianapolis: The Colts will have a hard time repeating last years feat of winning it all, primarily because of their defense or lack thereof. Indianapolis owned the NFL’s worst rushing defense last year, allowing on average 173 yards per game, but was able to cover this glaring deficiency with a strong defensive secondary, however, the free agent losses of versatile LB Cato June and CB’s Nick Harper and Jason David will hurt immeasurably if HC Tony Dungy is unable to plug in suitable replacements.

In my previous article of Sports betting tips, I’d discussed about how important money management is. The second most important aspect to online sports betting is shopping for numbers. This aspect of the betting process is a very important one that many newbies and even veterans overlook. Just imagine when you are shopping for a laptop. You don’t just pay the price the seller is asking before you compare it in other shop, make sense? The same thing applies here in online sports betting.
