The Latest Theatre Breaks - Coming To Theatre Soon
So what’s new in the West End?, well plenty is the answer and it’s just a case of where to get started!. You’ve got classic movie titles, contemporary movie titles and cartoon based events to for look forward too.
So enough rambling, let’s answer the question what’s new: Well frankly my dear I don’t give dam - what I hear you mutter, you guessed it, Gone with the Wind is coming to the New London theatre in 2008. Directed by the legendary Trevor Nunn, who’s other collaboration include Cats and Les Miserable’s. so expect a real treat when this hits the west end
So from 1860’s Atlanta to 1980’s New Jersey, the hit 80’s romantic comedy Desperately Seeking Susan arrivedat the Novello theatre London this October. If you’re a Blondie fan, this is a must see show, with Blondie hits such as Heart of Glass, Atomic, one way or Another and plenty of others all featuring throughout the show.
October also saw the launch of the Big Hair musical, Hairspray. Recently seen on the big screen this Broadway hit is coming to the Shaftsbury Theatre, London. This is a must see for West End Theatre goers has Micheal Ball, one of Britains leading musical star, is transformed into Edna Turnbald, the mother of the lead character Tracy Turnbald.
But this Christmas see’s a real treat for the West End, when the Comic Book hero Tintin hits Lonsdon. Tintin with his trusty dog Snowy, will bring a touch of the adventure to the theatre this winter has he travels to the Himalayas to rescue his Friend Chang. Going live this December at the Playhouse Theatre, Tintin is set to be introduced to a new generation.
So with all these new exciting shows being launched, it is an ideal time to book a hotel theatre package and get down to London and experience truly magic winter and exciting spring!
